I read a lot about education, I subscribe to JIS, Grace Kennedy Limited, Heart Trust NTA, and NCB Jamaica Limited. Ect, Within the Inner City of Jamaica many individuals only need guidance in the right direction, in my community most of the children are from single-parent homes, with no father figure, and they are more likely to stray. As a single mom I had to secure scholarships for my daughters, which is through the Grace Kennedy Group, because of this I grew my self to obtain information on how to pass the information on to the kids and parents regarding these programs which are available out there to our younger generation. I also sit and speak with teen to find out what are their dreams and aspirations, whenever there are scholarship programs advertised throughout the channel I mention, I ensure, I pass the information on through WhatsApp or word of mouth. sometimes these kids also don't have food to eat, and the little that I have I share with them, I also encourage them to go through the Heart Trust system. I sing to keep a calm spirit and mind and focus on the positive in my life. There are times when my relatives would mock me and say "Siddy a everybody yuh want gi wuk," and I say to them you have to want the change no one is going to want it for you, and you have to be to first to make it out of you're family. So I encourage most adolescents to try and accomplish something no matter how small.
