To contribute to the development of a sustainable early childhood foundation by planning effectively and appropriately to facilitate, maintain and enhance children's learning in all developmental domains.
In being a trained classroom educator at Liberty, I assumed the role to ensure the holistic development of children in special education classroom. I was able to plan and organize developmentally appropriate goals and objectives to meet each student's needs. My abilities entailed proper organization of learning materials, the prioritizing of ideas, building a good student teacher relationship, monitoring, adjusting and differentiating instructions for students of various abilities, and I was able to accomplish goals while keeping children active throughout the learning process.
Currently as a programme manager my major roles are to:
Facilitate the planning and oversight of the educational programmes of the school in accordance with Board policy decisions.
Facilitate the assessment of students prior to registration in the school's programme, and suggest placement within the programme to principals who will confirm, or change based on their background knowledge of their clientele.
Facilitate the Individualized Instructional Planning for students and the communication of these plans to parents, caregivers, and relevant therapists.
Working at Kidz World Early Childhood Center, I got the amazing opportunity to work with students from ages 3years to 7 years old. I was able to utilize effective and integrated strategies to enhance educational growth of the students. I succeeded in having good classroom management while helping the children through their various educational challenges. I have a sincere love for children and so I looked forward to building a relationship with them. I encouraged communication, to allow children to express themselves formulating new activity ideas, and investing in new learning materials to ensure meaningful learning experiences.
The teaching practice experience i took part in played a pivotal role in molding me into becoming a teacher. It provided the experience of being in an actual teaching and learning environment. During teaching practice, i worked with approximately 30 students between the ages of 5-6 year. It was at that point i began to understand how important it was to recognize each student as an individual learner that will need their own unique set of learning experiences.
