Employee Relations Officer

  • I led the promotion and restructuring of my role, developing it to the extent that the company needed to assign a dedicated recruiter to manage the recruitment process. I authored the relevant policies and outlined the tasks and steps necessary to ensure all candidates and recruits are handled and treated according to the company's now established standards.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle from recruitment through offboarding. Ad placement, orientation, contracts, job description creation, probation and other evaluations, PIPs, labour relations-lay-offs, redundancies, other forms of terminations to list a few for a staff count of 500+ persons (contractors, casuals and fill-ins not included in this count).
  • I am responsible for enhancing our employee engagement initiatives and collaborating with other departments to support these efforts and contribute to their success.
  • Process both monthly and weekly staff payrolls (to include gratuities, tips, commissions, salary adjustments, bonus calculations etc.).
  • Daily HR office supervision, training of new recruits, handling HR related queries.
