Duties/Resourcing sergeant - Managed personally 10 Police officers in my team, but was responsible for the resourcing/overseeing of over 1500 officers across the three boroughs of policing - Ilford, Havering and Barking/Dagenham.
Was involved the overseeing and resourcing of significant events - for example Policing During Covid, London Riots, Queens Funeral and Kings Coronation….and other major events across my three boroughs and the Metropolitan Police Service. i Received recognition from my Chief Superintendent for these events.
i was required to liaise with officers of various ranks on different occasions and also at times challenged their decisions around resourcing.

In December 2023 I successfully passed the Interview/assessment for becoming a Substantive Sergeant.
I had been a serving Police officer for over 30 years and in this time have carried out my duties in various roles, some being specialist.
1994 - 2004
Borough Police officer (Constable) where I put to use my basic policing skills that I had been taught on my 18 week residential course. I gained many skills in this time ranging from Driving, Public Order, Searching (Polsa - Counter Terrorism Search Trained) Control Room Operative and street duties instructor ( Assisted in teaching new officers who had come out from training).
2004 - 2013
Police General Purpose Dog Handler Dog Handler - Successfully passed selection process for Dog Handler, and went on to pass an intense Basic course with Police Dog Chaz. During this time i along with other handlers were followed by BBC Breakfast TV following our progress from start to finish. Along with my dog I went on to become a Firearms Support Dog Handler and Public Order trained Dog Handler.
