Burchell Simmonds

An accomplished educator and leader at Vere Technical High School, currently serving as the Head of the Engineering and Building Construction Department. In 2023, I was honoured to be named the VTHS Male Middle Manager of the Year and was a finalist for the MoEY/LASCO/JTC TVET Teacher of the Year Certificate of Excellence. I am a trained Industrial Arts teacher, a MoESYI Teacher Mentor, and a lead inspector with the National Education Inspectorate. Additionally, I have successfully managed the Ministry of Education School Furniture Project and served as a CSEC Technical Drawing Moderator and marker for the Caribbean Examination Council. In the past, I have supervised multiple grade levels and actively coached basketball, demonstrating a commitment to both academic and extracurricular excellence. My involvement in various school committees reflects my dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment.
